Differences that matter
What else you need
Each valve needs its own system's hub: a Thread border router such as tado° Bridge X, a Hive Hub, or a Wiser 2nd Generation HubR. Add this to the cost if you don't already own one.
Batteries
tado° uses a rechargeable pack charged by USB-C. Hive uses 2 × AA alkaline and advises against rechargeables. Wiser supports Ni-MH rechargeables and states more than 2 years from alkaline batteries.
Warranty
Wiser states 3 years; Hive 1 year as standard. tado° states a 2-year warranty on its X range kit page.
