How affiliate links work on COMANORA

Some links to shops may become affiliate links in the future. If you click one and buy something, the shop — usually through an affiliate network such as Awin — pays COMANORA a commission. Using an affiliate link does not change the price the shop charges you.

How COMANORA is funded today

COMANORA has no affiliate programmes, advertisers or sponsors at the moment, and earns no money from any link or advert. It is run and paid for by its owner.

How you can recognise them

When a programme is active:

• Every affiliate link or button is marked Ad right next to it, before you click.
• Pages that contain affiliate links say so at the top, and explain the Ad marker.
• Links without an Ad marker earn COMANORA nothing.
• For search engines, affiliate links carry rel="sponsored".

How we keep money out of recommendations

• Rankings are decided on published criteria before any shop link is added.
• Commission information is stored separately from our editorial data, and our ranking code never reads it.
• Shops on product pages are listed by price, never by commission — including shops that pay us nothing.
• Our policy is not to accept payment, free products or other benefits in exchange for including, ranking or reviewing a product. If this policy ever changes, we will update this page first, and any product or benefit we receive from a manufacturer or shop will be clearly stated on the page concerned.

Programmes we may join

We plan to apply first to Awin, an affiliate network used by many UK retailers and brands, and possibly to other networks later. A programme is listed in the box above only once COMANORA has been accepted and its links are active, together with any statement the programme requires. Until then, no link on COMANORA earns us money.
