Research, not hands-on testing

COMANORA’s pages are based on documentary research — manufacturers’ documentation, manuals, official specifications and UK retailer information. We do not physically test products, and we never describe a product as tested unless we have tested it and published how.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made by COMANORA alone. Retailers, brands and affiliate networks cannot review, approve or change our content before publication.

Accuracy

• Important product facts are checked against primary sources such as manufacturers’ UK product pages, manuals and spec sheets; the main sources are listed and dated on each product page. Prices come from the shop’s own product page.
• We use software tools, including AI, to help with research and writing; we check the important information against those sources before publishing.
• UK product names, model numbers and prices are checked before publication and when pages are updated.
• Pages show the date they were last checked; ranking pages also keep a log of what changed.

Original content

All text and tables are written by COMANORA; the facts and specifications in them come from the sources we cite. We do not copy text or images from other review sites.

Free products and samples

Our policy is not to accept free products, payment or other benefits in exchange for coverage (see our affiliate disclosure). If we ever receive a product free of charge, we will say so clearly on the page concerned, and it will be assessed on the same published criteria as every other product.
